Mission Statement
To support the Haldane school by providing the organizational framework for parental involvement, serving as an outlet for creative community input and offering enriching experiences for our students and their families.

What Does the PTA Do?

Below is a list of the many contributions the PTA makes to the Haldane community: 
New Initiatives:

• Eco Kids Enrichment
• Back-to-school PTA potluck: providing the opportunity to meet the families and teachers of your children's new class in an informal, entertaining setting
• Garden Committee formed to create children's sustainable garden to be worked into curriculum

Ongoing Initiatives:

• Provide a regular forum for parents to discuss ideas for improving our children's education
• Provide framework for committees to implement creative ideas for enriching school curriculum
• Keep parents informed of important events and topics through email blasts
• Organize school volunteers and assign Class Parents
• Run After School Enrichment Program Fall & Spring- (providing the only language class for elementary students)
  
• Differences Day: promoting empathy in our children for those who are different by educating them about the disabled
• Award Senior Scholarships for excellence in Band, Chorus, Drama and Communication
• Provide Scholastic Book Fairs- Fall and Spring
  
• Publish and distribute School Directory
• Provide Refreshments and assistance for Curriculum Nights and other events
• Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Fair & Pajama Evening
• The Giving Tree: organizing the donation of holiday gifts to area children in need
  
• Donation of Feathers for Lunch books for incoming Kindergarten students and parents
  
• Donation of H.E.L.P. booklets for incoming Middle School parents
• Host Meet the Candidates Night to familiarize community with school board candidates
  
• School budget voter education and campaign to increase voter participation
  
• Mother’s Day Plant Sale
  
• Father’s Day Cookie Sale
  
• Staff Appreciation luncheon
• Appoint Parent Representatives to BOE and District Committees
• Financial Support for Yearbooks, Jr./Sr. Prom, 5th Grade Activity Night, Wellness Fair, and other programs.
• Heartfelt Program to provide meals to families in times of great need
  
• Provide Laminating Services for Elementary classes
• Update Elementary Sign Board
• Help Promote events for Haldane School Foundation
