Meet Your PTA

The PTA members for the 2023/24 School Year

Sammy Smith Coleman - Co President

Sammy and her family have been living in Cold Spring for five years. She has two daughters, Everly in 4th and Edie, in 7th. Sammy also serves on the board of the Haldane School Foundation and is a member of the EDI committee. When she's not volunteering, she's busy running Understory Market, a low-waste market on Main Street. Sammy loves bringing the community together and is looking forward to volunteering with the amazing group of people on this year's executive team.

Maya Dollarhide - Co President

Maya and her family live in the village of Cold Spring. Her children have been at Haldane since Kindergarten, and they are entering 6th and 9th grade this year. Maya is looking forward to her new role as Co-President and connecting with teachers and families. She is also a member of the EDI committee and a book fair volunteer.

Catherine Illian - Co President

Catherine Illian moved to Haldane in August of 2021. She has four children in Elementary, Middle and High School. Catherine is excited to build community here at Haldane with the PTA and support our awesome teachers, staff, students, and families. She loves being outside, whether hiking, camping or being on the water, curling up with a good book, and practicing visual and creative arts.

Kim Hiss - Elementary School Vice President

Kim’s family moved to Cold Spring in 2022, and they are so happy to be part of the Haldane community. Along with her husband Dan and two elementary schoolers, Barrett (1st Grade) and Lochlan (3rd Grade), they are involved with the Cub Scouts, Philipstown Depot Theatre and Highlands Chapel, and are regulars at Angie's on Main St. Kim is also a writer/editor at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, a freelance writer for several magazines, and a vocalist with ensembles like the Taconic Opera Company. They are all very excited to work together with the Haldane PTA, teachers, students, staff, and families for a fantastic 2023-24 school year!

Ana Silverlinck - Middle School Vice President

Ana Silverlinck has lived with her family in Cold Spring for 14 years and has a 4th and 8th grader at Haldane.  In addition to her work as a local realtor, Ana volunteers for The Midnight Run, teaches Sunday School at First Presbyterian of Philipstown and has been a Fresh Air Fund host parent for several years.

Melany Campanile - High School Vice President

Melany and her family have lived in Cold Spring for almost twenty years.  She has three children, the youngest of whom is in 10th Grade.  Both of Melany’s older children graduated from Haldane.  Melany has been volunteering at Haldane since her middle child was in Kindergarten, as a class parent, through various PTA committees, serving on HSF Board and Blue Devils Booster Club.  She is a firm believer in the PTA mission to be one voice for every child and is proud to be a part of a National child  advocacy association that has accomplished so much.

Maki Parsons - Treasurer

Maki and her family have been living in Cold Spring since 2007. She has two daughters in 6th and 8th grade. She and her husband, Brian Grahn, run Hudson River Expeditions (with a lot of help from their daughters and a number of Haldane students).

Marcie Rummel - Corresponding Secretary

Marcie and her family have lived in Nelsonville for 8 years. She has two boys and they are going into 1st grade and 4th grade this year. This is Marcie’s 3rd year as Corresponding Secretary and Marcie aims to inform the Haldane community of all things PTA.
